I work to establish and realize my own visual vernacular as a maker. I apply design principles and learned techniques to re-iterate common useful objects so they may hold an important place in the lives of others. I, myself cherish the opportunity to use handmade pottery and gain inspiration from not only these pots by myriad other craft objects that have come to accompany my everyday life. My practice relies on creative exploration and problem solving as I apply delicate yet vibrant surface decorations to sturdy and earthy functional pottery forms.
