James LaChance was raised in the Red River Valley, the northern border of Minnesota and North Dakota. James has had the privilege to work with some of the finest architects, educators, artists and craftspeople in this country and abroad. He credits these talented individuals with helping him develop his skills and knowledge in creating high quality work. James is skilled and comfortable working with a wide range of materials. His approach to food, paper, paint, clay, metal or wood is allowing the material, technique and design to work together to become something beautiful.
